A quick tribute to Joe Quinones’ amazing talent for drawing boobs.

Do I even need to explain myself on this one? It’s just so novel to see a male artist working for the Big Two who is perfectly aware of how breasts fall, how they move, how they look supported and unsupported. AND HEY IT MAKES HIS ART EVEN SEXIER FANCY THAT

Seriously, this above example makes me happy, because there’s distinct understanding of physics, weight, support and not depending on the outfit, and then how the outfit actually interacts with the breasts, meaning that the fabric is stretched between them, it doesn’t form into boob pockets like way too many supposedly skin tight suits we see in comics. I love this with much love.

This is not the first such discrepancy we’ve documented here, but it’s a particularly interesting one. For one thing, Rift actually has much better character models than most games, let alone most MMOs, so it’s surprising to see their art is so… typical. Their character models set them apart from other MMOs, in a good way. I find it strange they would undersell that point.

In response to the "Caucasian Hair" discussion you had awhile back what do you think of how companies like paizo and gamesworkshop have changed the orcs and goblins (the standard "savage" races) skin tones from vaguely brownish to nuclear green?

We could only fix one of these problems. We picked the ass-cape.

I agree the legs are a bit ridiculous, but I don’t agree that her body should be covered in clothing. Maybe you find it offensive, but it doesn’t make sense. I know that if I’m going to draw an animalistic creature like a jaguar or a leopard that has a intricate pattern in their coat, I don’t want to cover it up with bland clothing. It would honestly make more sense for this character to be completely naked. She lives in the jungle, not only are bulky clothing going to get caught in the dense foliage, but it is extremely humid there and she already has fur to protect her. I suppose they have to censor themselves somehow, though.

But that’s just me. I don’t really find anything offensive about full nudity. *shrug*

The addition of a dress was an aesthetic short-cut to easily correct the abominable anatomy, ridiculous clothing physics, and general fuckery. It has little to do with anything being “offensive”, or particular squeamishness around nudity. Feel free to draw your cat-women as naked as you please, we’ve no particular interest in censoring nactl-nipples.

There is nothing about this that's okay.

There’s a lot of squicky elements jammed into this one tiny image. For one thing, you have a lady, shiny with sweat, bound with rope, with her cleavage exposed. Being that this piece is called “Kidnapper’s Lair”, it’s not a leap to assume she’s a kidnap victim, so inherently being held against her will. What I did not notice at first glance was the boobplate on the table; her attackers have clearly stripped her. Classy.

Add into the equation that even the lady-kidnapper has been sexualized via a huge boob-window (something I somehow doubt her male counterparts are treated to), and the end result is some pretty epic-level squick.

My favorite thing about this one is that while there are two women in the picture, and you can’t see either of their faces, you do get a really great view of both sets of breasts. Priorities!

Even the woman in the background is flashing some serious cleavage our way, and with the way the image is composed, it’s unfortunately her most prominent feature.
